Personal consultations may be arranged by appointment, in person if you can come to my location, or by phone. My fee of $150 per consulting hour includes my prior preparation of your birth chart with its current patterns.

A consultation may be directed toward specific techniques such as the planning of events, relocation or questions regarding business or relationships. For matters that require the consideration of additional charts other than your own, there is an additional charge of $25 per chart. For the chart of a third party individual other than your minor child, permission may be required. Please query by email.
Payment and Terms: Payment of the basic one-hour consulting fee must be made in advance by check or money order mailed to Maria Kay Simms, PO Box 446, Exeter, NH 03833, or through PayPal. The PayPal method includes the option to pay by major credit card. If you choose PayPal, then when you query Maria by email (as explained above), also state that you want to use PayPal. You will then receive a return email statement of what consulting services that you have requested, and the email will contain a link to PayPal through which you be able to make your payment.
Overtime in a consulting session will be billed at $2 per mintue. For phone appointments, we agree via email upon a mutually convenient time for our call. Unless otherwise requested I will place the call. If you do not answer, I will continue trying for up to 15 minutes after the appointed time. If I am unable to reach you, I will consider our appointment cancelled. Since much of my work must be done prior to our appontment, no refunds will be given for cancellations unless you have notified me by phone or email at least 48 hours in advance of our appointment. Otherwise, I will only agree to reschedule.
Rectification Services
My Method of Rectification
Rectification involves using astrological methodology to find a probable time of birth, when reliable time from public or family records is not available. I am skilled in using the Cosmobiology and Uranian Astrology methods of rectification. It is an objective study, based primarily on life events activated according to specific expectations of the systems I use. I consider any rectification to be arguable when highly subjective opinions, such as what the Rising Sign "should be" (from personality traits or appearance) are used. For this reason, I avoid subjectivity, preferring to focus upon the more reliable objective evidence of timed events. From this research, I will give you a resulting time that "works" with the events.
In fairness, it is my opinion that no absolute guarantee can be given that rectification yields actual time of birth. What it does yield is a timed chart that is appropriately activated at each of the major life events in the study. Once such a chart is found, it generally will work with future trends and events, as well.
How to Query for Rectification Services
Include in your email at least six major life events with the date and place of each, and if at all possible, the time. Events that work well for this purpose include marriage, births of your children, divorce, deaths in the immediate family, accidents or surgery you have experienced, or any other timed event of very strong emotional impact. If you have full timed birth data of your children or other immediate family, that will also be useful to me, as there are nearly always close connections between immediate family members.
My fees for this service range from $250 to $500, depending upon the range of hours needed for research within one date. If your exact date of birth is also uncertain, the fee could be higher. Once I have your information, I can respond with a more definite estimate of cost, as well as a time frame for completion of the work. When work is completed, you will receive a copy of the resulting timed chart with a short written paper that outlines the astrological factors in support of my conclusion, including what parts of your chart were activated for each event. After you have received the chart, you may contact me to arrange a follow-up phone consultation of up to one hour

Since you have contracted for my time as well as my expertise within the system I have outlined above, there can be no refunds for any reason other than my failure to deliver the chart and written work within the agreed upon time frame.

Moon Tides, Soul Passages
Explore the powerful lunar phase cycle and more in either lecture or workshop that includes a Power Point slide show with many visuals from art, nature and seasonal cycles will evoke your intuitive understanding of the lunar phase theory. During open discussion to follow, questions & reflections will be welcomed based on the individual birth data of those who attend. (Obviously, this will be most in-depth in workshop format.) A participatory meditation or ritual, based on the lunar sign and phase of the day, will close the session.
Art, Astrology and the Sacred Feminine
This Power Point show and lecture explores the sacred feminine in art and astrology with an eye toward revisioning a new astrology that gives rightful honor to She who is old before time, the form of energy, the eternal Wheel. We'll take a hard look, with a touch of my 'toons, to our current planetary mix of ten basics ruled by eight gods and only two goddesses! Through visuals and discussion, we'll see the great Goddess as She dances in the elements of the ancients, and in the eight phases of Moon. We'll celebrate Venus and Luna, while seeing Her potential for the so-called masculine planets and signs, as well. Discover interesting alternatives for those eight god-ruled planets—for fun...but also, perhaps, for the future!
Power of Eight: Cycle of Transformation
This Power Point slide lecture explores the eight-fold cycle in how it works within the solar seasonal cycle, the lunar phase cycle and in any eight-fold series including the hard aspect series that is key to Cosmobiology and "where the action is" in our lives. We'll compare the series of eight to other symbols of eight important in our astrological theory: Scorpio, the eighth sign, and the complex eighth House of the horoscope. Discover and experience the dilemma, the mystery and the magical power of eight, as you open yourself to its vast potential for positive, creative change. (Workshop format includes work with personal data plus a participatory ritual.)
Dial Detecting—Get to the Crux of a Chart in One Lesson
Like Sherlock peering through his microscope, you'll learn to quickly spot the basic clues most needed to take advantage of this powerful tool of Cosmobiology and Uranian Astrology, the 90° dial. You'll discover how to easily see important information that is often missed when looking at conventional chart wheels. Learn rapic, visual analysis of the "minor" aspects that are really major, and the power of midpoints and planetary pictures. Learn to cut through the clutter to the crux of any chart. Spot the most important factors and how, once identified, they activate throughout the lifetime, showing significant life changes and inner development. In correlation to the primary intent of identifying the crux, we'll also explore astrology as oracle, and in that, the potential dangers we can create when we add "clutter" because the "crux" isn't to our liking. With the crux firmly in mind, we are empowered to view any chart with greater objectivity and most likely also greater accuracy—even when we are emotionally involved!
Dial presentations require that an overhead projector be provided on site.
Within the longer workshop format, pre-registrants who give birth data and permission at least one day in advance of my travel to the site will have their dial charts prepared on transparencies for use in my demonstration of the technique. Individual feedback and questions will be encouraged .
Articles and Commentary
How to Search for Your Recorded Time of Birth: It is frustrating when you're interested in learning about astrology and especially your own birth chart, but don't know your correct time and are unable to obtain it from family records . I always encourage making the effort to search for your officially recorded time before you consider rectification.
If you were born in the United States past the mid '30s, your time will nearly always have been recorded in the city or county of your birth. If you are not sure which public office you should query, try putting "birth time" into Google, and you'll easily find resources to aid your search.
Occasionally, just ordering a birth certificate will not yield the time because, rather than just photocopying the full official records, the office policy is to fill out little certificates that suffice for most public needs for proof of citizenship, etc., but do not include time of birth. Be sure to specify in your query that you want the time of birth.
